Introduction to Islam

In this course, students will study the Islamic faith from its formative period in 6th-century Arabia to its current place as one of the world's major religions, with particular emphasis on Islamic beliefs and practices of the present day.  The significance of the Five Pillars of Faith, the Holy Qur'an, and Hadith and Sunnah (sayings and deeds of the Prophet) will be included.
