Tuition

Tuition and homestay fees are due in full on the first day of classes.  SACAL accepts only Moroccan dirhams.  For students studying at SACAL for more than three weeks, payment is due at the start of each three-week session.  Students may either pay in cash at the school or through direct deposit.  Students wishing to pay by direct deposit should inform SACAL at least two weeks in advance of their arrival, so that they can be provided with the information required for a bank transfer.

Language Courses

All of our 3-week language courses cost 4000Dh. Please note that if there are fewer than three students in a course, it must be switched to private tuition. 

The fee for private classes is 180Dh per hour for a single student and 240Dh per hour for two students.

Please note that the price of textbooks is not included in tuition costs.

Cultural Courses

The fees for Women in Islam, Sufism in Fez and Moroccan History and Culture Through Architecture vary depending on the desired length of the course and students’ needs. Please contact us with specific enquiries for pricing.

Supplementary Courses

Due to the diverse nature of the supplementary courses, the cost per student for each course may range from 25 Dh to 250 Dh per session.  If there is a supplementary course of particular interest to you, please contact us for more information.

Al-Maghreb

The price of the Al-Maghreb two-week intensive is 3750Dh.  This includes language instruction and all cultural activities.  Please note that this cost does not include housing; homestays with Moroccan families may be arranged for Al-Maghreb students at our standard rates (see our Housing section for more information on homestays).  An optional weekend trip may be arranged for an additional fee.

Housing

Homestays are 2750Dh for three-week class sessions, and 1875Dh for two-week stays as part of the Al-Maghreb intensive.  Homestays can be arranged for shorter lengths of time, though families normally charge higher rates under these circumstances.  Please contact SACAL if you are interested in arranging a short-term homestay.
